"Nancy sold our house for more than the asking price. She advised us how to prep the house for sale and helped us get a power of attorney so that I could close in my husband's absence.
After the open house, my husband left for Canada and I was on my own with the two children. Nancy knew time was of the essence and she stayed up late talking to buyers and their agents who were preparing offers after midnight. She helped me turn down two low bids and worked late again communicating with buyers scrambling in a bidding war.
The day after my husband's departure, we had a contract. Then, Nancy and her colleague kept backup buyers informed so that we remained in a strong position throughout the final negotiations and until all contingencies were settled.
I was glad to have Nancy's 20 years of experience there at the closing. We sat at a table with four men who all knew each other. Nancy got the attorney to stop mumbling. She did the math and checked the documents to make sure we got all that was coming to us.
